On November 27, 2025, the 10 kV live-upgrade project for Deqing Station at 35 kV Duilong in Lhasa, Xizang, undertaken by CHENGDU QICHENG ELECTRIC POWER CO., LTD. (CYG Qicheng), a wholly-owned subsidiary of CYG SUNRI, was successfully put into operation.
As the first successful application of CYG SUNRI’s portable live-upgrade platform in Xizang, this project marks that the company has established a complete substation technical upgrade system covering plateau and other scenarios to meet diversified demands.
First Success of Live-Upgrade on the Plateau, Premiere of Portable Solution
Under the leadership of the dispatching department of Lhasa Power Supply Company, CYG Qicheng gave full play to its technical advantages and used the portable live-upgrade platform jointly developed with CYG SUNRI to complete the bay upgrade of three 10 kV feeders at Deqing Station under full live-line conditions, with only short-time power outage for verification at the final stage. This has maximized the continuity and reliability of local power supply for people’s livelihood.
Adopting a modular and prefabricated platform, the solution supports on-site plug-and-play and rapid deployment.

The solution is especially suitable for the upgrade of 10 kV feeder protection and measurement & control devices. By configuring temporary protection, seamless signal switching and real-time monitoring, it achieves the goal of “no power outage for primary equipment and no loss of protection functions during upgrade”. It performs stably even in complex plateau environments, verifying the maturity and reliability of the solution.

Focusing on the upgrade of 10 kV feeder protection and measurement & control devices, the solution adopts technologies including temporary protection access, intelligent circuit switching and full-process monitoring to complete equipment upgrade without affecting power supply. It is especially suitable for civil and industrial load areas with high requirements for power supply continuity.
